A Senryu poem about narcissistic love. Senryu poetry is a Japanese form of unrhyming poetry written in the present tense that uses the three-line, 5–7–5 syllable pattern. Due to its emphasis on human nature and emotional experiences, it is affectionately called Human Haiku. My husband and I love to write and read poetry. He is my poetry mentor, and I deeply enjoy his thought-provoking work. This Senryu is about that moment many years ago when I realized that my life had been hijacked by profound narcissistic abuse. Perhaps you can relate to this moment.
